Day 4; Tisha: http://diaryofanigeriangal.blogspot.com/
A bride- to- be is full of excitement, anticipation, joy and uncertainty.
She can't wait to be one with her husband.
What lays ahead she can only imagine.
Truth be told.
She can only hope for the best.
The two become one and a house becomes a home.
The home becomes her pride and her joy
The one place she will always find peace love and joy.
That is her hope for the best.
As we celebrate 50 years of independence we can only hope for the best.
Hope that our country Nigeria will one day stand as the giant of Africa.
Hope that she will find herself good leaders to rule her.
Hope that she will provide for her people the bare necessities in life.
Today as i write this post, I am still hopeful.
Hopeful that her change will come, hopeful that things will turn around, hopeful that things will one day be alright.
As long as we keep this hope alive.
Her change will come.
Happy independence.
Next on Nigeria at 50

"The two become one and a house becomes a home..." absolutely true, once we can understand that though of different tribes, tongues, ethnicities we are (all) one as a nation then, we can keep hope alive that we shall become a 'home'.
Such a simple, truthful, and hopeful message. Our country is a bride-to-be.
We need change!God help Nigeria. Most importantly we the youths have to help restore that country
A home is still a home. That's the most powerful line I've read all week. Truth be told, it's the most sobering too.
sort of knew you would come from this angle...iyawo...God help 9j
Hope is a good thing and that's what will keep our dream alive until it's realised. I have hope for our country too.
amen!
i have faith that one day naija will be the dream of the whole world. and i will be here to witness that.
2 become 1...hmm
The boundaries 'they' have used to define us are non-existent. We are one. One home. One love.
Interesting insight!
Applause.....well written sister...
we are a bride to be
"...hopeful that her change will come"
indeed, thats where we all stand. I love this, well written :)
I like
Change will definitely come
we'll hope
and we'll build.
And it is that hope that underpins our development indeed. Great write-up.
Hope is what we need Tisha! I like that thought, its the silent though hopefully visible theme I used to write my own piece for Naija. Great post!
Nicely written. Let us keep praying that the seed of discord among us is destroyed before we ruin what is left of our Nation.
...seeing that it is what has kept us going till this day, i can only pray that we as Nigerians dont all lose hope & give up...God help us all
Nigeria + Hope; like blood through my veins - the only guarantee for survival.
God rebuild Nigeria, Amen!
I like your '24' style presentation...
lol
I gat a mischievous smile dancin' on ma face (in madea's tone)...tis chic sure knows wat she's talkin....6months in Ghana and back in Nigeria,I can testify that home is " The one place she finds love, peace and joy". Very well written!
change will surely come ...
Her change will come as we work at it too. She could be described as 'work in progress' just as transforming a house into a home takes work.
Lovely Sirius,Just posted mine...

We cant lose hope!!!
