What Do You Want?

Lazy Sunday afternoon trying to rest, my mind begins to wander- I began to reconcile my life then and my life now, the things that had happened to me over the last couple of years, the Places I had found myself in, the things I had to go through in the past and the things I was going through now, and as the incidents kept playing in my head I remembered the things I had loooonged & yearned for back then and the things I was longing for right now and then - IT CLICKED!

Everything I had ever desired or wanted and had made a detailed mental /physical note on, I eventually got matching my list tooth and nail!

And what fascinated me the most was the fact that I probably forgot about the “list” or “specification” of the desire/want at the time I got it.

It’s pretty amazing the things we can control with our thoughts.

I guess that's why it’s always good to know what exactly you want, so you don’t end up settling for less.

PS: I once read about a woman, who after  12years of marriage found a book, and inside it was a list, she read the list and began weeping- It was a detailed list of what she wanted in a husband if she eventually got married and her detailed list  described her husband of 12 years down to his height and colour of eyes, a list she had written when she was single.

Have a nice week......and I'm still up for adoption!

I read something like this in Oprah magazine and I am not sure how true it is. But best believe it that my specification has already been written. Yours? Have a blessed new year dearest.

@ Temite...just keep them lists flowing girl. I'm sure doing the same here.
@ SS...I 'd write subconciously, but that's changing now.
@ Lolia...just have a mental note of it, or better a note of what you don't want!....you'll adpot me, where to?
@ Fumms.....feel free to chow down.
@ Olamild....Am I messing with your thought process?
@ CaramelD.....You had better start putting some things together, you have to see it, for it to happen!

i've always believed in listing.
wrote a wish list sometime back, i went back to read and found myself ticking off eveything on the list(they were all material anyways)

i'm reading this book 'the secret'
it says when you think positive and will something in your mind, then it comes to pass.
i kind of bellieve it, thats why sometimes i'm tuned to optimism
and it works.

i havent made the 'man list' yet, cos i really dont know what i want:(

I really agree with you on what we can control with our thinking. Like they siad, mind is powerful

Did the woman weep cos the huband was exactly was she wanted or because he is not?

I think it's really nessesary to have a realistic idea of what you want,it helps keep you on track.

Awww @ this post. I concur. It is good to know exactly what we want so we don't settle for less. Yet, one thing I've experienced is that most times our lists are not as good as God's...He's capable of doing even better...although we may not recognize it at that particular point...LOL.

sometimes, in the busy rush to live our lives just how we planned it, we fail to see that we already are. that is the sad reality of many a life.

yes! there is too much power in our thoughts...if u can think it you can achieve it..

i was going to ask the same question Standtall asked.

@ WriteFreak...Yes o!
@ FQ...See, Material or not it works!....Qwhat are you waiting for? Better start writing him to you, or else you'll be stuck with *@&!
@ StandTall.....The mind is indeed powerful.....Yes, she cried because he was everything she wanted.
@ Majoram....Yes it does....
@ Chari...Ehn! Sounds like you plan your life using this...Is that how we *cough cough got our Madam? ehn?
@ Jaycee....So true, we only think as far as our minds can go.
@ Muse...why?! I've always wondered...
@ Tisha.....ahha! but at least you know what you want- same thing (that's having a mental note)
@ Aloted...Yes we can! :-). Que answered....she was overwhelmed that she got exactly what she wanted.

This post reminded me of the list my GF shared with me early on in our relationship. In 2001 she wrote down 14 things she wanted in a man, hoping that he would come along and meet most of them. 6 years later I came along and I hit on 14 out of 14 of them. It is over two years later and we are stronger than ever. I told her not to blame me she didn't put what race on her list. Neither of us would have ever guessed this would happen to us.

She very much believes in the power of "intention" and she has made me a believer as well.

You have a new follower!

some call it the power of positive thinking. in the bible we are made to understand that the supernatural controls the natural. once u own it in the spirit, its just a matter of time and it will manifest in the physical. Heb 11: 1 sums it up in the saying of faith.

we should always remember that this world along with everything that is in it were created out of things that are not seen.

we get what we want, because we have the spirit of God living in us, and as long as it is in line with the will of God for us

awww I love the story about the woman and her husband of 12yrs...
I think my heart is softening in my old age...every thing makes me feel all cuddly especially stories like that.

Tigeress said...

So as the mouth speaketh.....

I need to put this in practice myself- just need the faith to back it up.

Anyway, i'm happy that God granted you all ur heart desires. Keep up the positive thinking.
