WTFrack?! I'm reading the lady's own now!
do not let it shatter anything. instead, learn from their experiences as they have been gracious to put it all out there.
wowwwwwwww........ im speechless. things like these make me scared of marriage....
well girl, don't you dare come to my blog, smile. BUT I WILL BE THE FIRST TO SAY HONEY, I would rather haved loved and lost than not at all. I loved marriage and hope to find it again. Through Jesus, I'm not bitter. stay encouraged sweetness.
u scared me ooohh
seen both blogs..but like bumight said...all u gat to do is learn from xperience babes...we all know it isnt a bed of roses...na today
tell me u didnt know things like these happen b4 u read d blog...we just gata pray me dear and hope that when its our turn things dont turn out like that...
I read both...this scare people of marriage but we can learn from both.
The lady was immature when she slept with and married her husband whom she's cheating on.
The guy was sleeping with the lady, she got preggers and they got married.
I think my mother was right. Sex (and its consequences) should never force you to marry someone. Just WAIT till the right time!
Judging from the experience of familty members with no failed marriages, I can only pray I end up like them.
We can learn from this...and Tigeress post just says it all!!!
I'm freaking out too :(
wait...why are you letting this shatter your dreams? My sista, stop oh.
The reality is that marriage, like life is not perfect. But, just because that is the case does not mean we cannot strive for perfection. Don't allow your dreams and hopes to be hampered by whatever is or is not happening in someone else's life. Start thinking that way and you could end up in trouble. Believe me, I have seen it happen.
Just learn what you can from them, sympathize as best possible and move on. Finish. Abeg you oh!
I'm actually just sad because this is not a movie or a fictional novel, it's a man's life! A life with real characters; a huge dose of reality :S
Learn from this babe and realise that marriage is not perfect. To all those single ladies out there bemoaning their situation be grateful in the moment that you are single....being married is not any easier than being single. Its more hard work in fact.
so don't let it ruin your dreams, marriage can be wonderful but it takes hard work..thats what I have learnt from these blogs
Nef. told me about the girl's blog. I actually commented about it on my blog. It's a dang shame that the girl's interpretation of love is a full oral sex. :) a big shame.
Sirius dont let this bother u or shake you. U dont plan on cheating on ur husband do u?
i asked the same question as i read those blogs...sad!
But we can all just pray and hope that we dnt end up like that!
Stop freaking out! Like XSN said, 'NA TODAY???'.....
The only thing that has changed is that people are being open but this has been happening since the dawn of time. There is no such thing as a perfect union, no matter what Hollywood says.
Just two flawed human beings trying to make each other happy, pay bills on time and not kill their respective in-laws = CaramelD's definition of marriage!
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i dont know anymore. nothing is sacred i tell you. nothing.
There is no point being heart broken, we the unmarried ones read stuff like this so we can learn.
Many people make the mistake of thinking they can change a man who has a cheating history after marriage. It doesnt happen that way, never has and never will. Both parties have to have the convinction to want to stay commited to each other alone for ever.
Dont worry girl, its not our portion in Jesus name
TBAA
I know right! pls oh! it is not by force :(
most people go into marraige for the wrong reasons.....
marraige IS a commitment;a covenant and we are bound by our covenants
when we defile them-bullshit happens
so instead of freaking out.......you just need to re-evaluate the reasons God ordained marriage for
evaluate when why how you should go into YOUR marraige-do remember you need to be emotionally, financially, physically AND spiritually ready for marriage...if not; postpone it till you are ready
there are some very good marriages out there
Im off to check out the links.
Lol! Its the Charlie Boy show, where anything can happen. @Caramel: Don't be so cynical.
Thanks a lot guys for all the encouragement and advice. I am no longer freaking out- still a little bit sad about the situation, BUT Like you all suggested, I am going to Learn from their experiences and work towards making my own a Sacred union(Which it is suppose to be)- Meaning I kinda have an upper hand, right?
I just hated the rude awakening.
And Tigeress I Have NO such Plans, Abeg Oh!
Darn! Why does this marriage thing have to be so hard.
Kookie I'm with you- enjoy all I can before I have to deal with all that hard work!
You guys are the best....Mwuah!
I guess these stories serve as lessons learnt...the reality of marriage is that things are not always honky dory....c'est la vie. Sad but true.
@Doug, wetin?
How is that cynical? My first line said, 'two flawed ppl trying to make each other happy', that includes, romance, good food, fixing the leaking tap, jaw dropping marital sex, escorting him to Techie Fairs and watching Grey's Anatomy with her etc! My point is that couples have to be realistic and practical as well as romantic when entering into marriage!!!
Where is the cynicism in that??
There is always the exception to the rule
plus, you should never place the bar on your life according to the bars on other peoples lives
you are different
raised differently
have different morals, beliefs, strength, wisdom etc etc etc therefore your marriage will be different, dont be put off, instead be encouraged not to make the same mistakes those people made
Oh wow. I intend to get some popcorn and read these blogs, post by post.
Hmmm... Not sure I intended to stir up any debate by blogging about fixing the issues in my marriage.
Unlike the other lady I am not trying to get even. My wife and I are working at it.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. It's ironic that she has 6 people following her blog though. Naija people una like drama sha!!
çok güzel site. :)
im echoing bumight here..
just seeing this now...
all i can say is before we get married we should prepare ourselves, pray hard and open our eyes...so we dont marry the wrong person..
also like others have said let us learn from others...because it happens does not mean it will happen to u...
the benefits of marriage overweigh the dismerits. God designed marriage so it is to him we will seek guidance from.
it is well
